Hot Date in a Cool Pool

We recently met up with my friend Alona and her son Bradley for a swim date. Alona has this really cool water playground near her house in Coral Springs (Cypress Park for you locals), so we decided to check it out one Sunday. We packed up our cars with enough baby equipment to survive a flood, and headed out for a fun afternoon at the pool. We thought we would beat the heat by getting there around 4:00pm, however, we didn't realize that the pool closed at 4:30pm. Of course, I had maneuvered Brianne into a swimmy diaper and bathing suit and unloaded the car by the time we figured this out.

It was so sad to get to this super fun water play ground in the 90 degree heat and find out that we couldn't go in. So we packed everything back into the car, and headed to Alona's neighborhood pool. The poor babies were beat red from the heat so we jumped in the pool as soon as we got there. Brianne is a born fishy, and enjoyed showing off her swimming skills to Bradley. We are looking forward to going back to Cypress Park some time soon, though maybe we'll try the morning next time.

Here we are taking a break from swimming. I even brought Brianne's shades, though she didn't really want to wear them. It looks like we are having a nice mommy-daughter hug in this photo, when really I am holding down her arms so she doesn't rip the glasses off her face.

Bradley is one cool dude in his shades. Brianne was impressed - though I think she was more in awe of his walking :o)
